It depends a lot on what you are rolling back, and what the intended
purpose of the modification was.

Reverting a modified file to a previous edit, un-deleting a file,
un-copying a file, resetting permisisons, and the like are very simple
to roll-back.
Installing/deinstalling an application, restarting a service, etc are
much more difficult to undo.

Similarly "maintenance" updates should be easy to track and roll-back;
but if you use cfe to impliment large-scale changes to a system it may
not be possible to reverse the process in a clean way.
