It depends a lot on what you are rolling back, and what the intended purpose of the modification was. Reverting a modified file to a previous edit, un-deleting a file, un-copying a file, resetting permisisons, and the like are very simple to roll-back. Installing/deinstalling an application, restarting a service, etc are much more difficult to undo. Similarly "maintenance" updates should be easy to track and roll-back; but if you use cfe to impliment large-scale changes to a system it may not be possible to reverse the process in a clean way. -- -- Perfection is just a word I use occasionally with mustard. --Atom Powers-- _______________________________________________ Help-cfengine mailing list Help-cfengine@cfengine.org http://cfengine.org/mailman/listinfo/help-cfengine
