IMHO, Antonio wants a *visually equal* spacing between staves
constrained by zero symbol overlap, as do I. The question is: what is
the most practical way to get that for Lily. The truth is that hand
engravers look at the position of each element that protrudes beyond
each staff and balances them with a speed that confounds computers!
