In that case at least try efibootmgr, looking through the entries you have and verifying that they do point to the correct partition, ie. I see Boot0001* Guix HD(1,GPT,4397f244-7138-49ba-aa26-6e20e3f27090,0x800,0x3d0000)/\EFI\Guix\grubx64.efi and /dev/disk/by-partuuid/4397f244-7138-49ba-aa26-6e20e3f27090 points to my boot partition.
