I was wrong. The problem seems to stem from a dependency of r- rmarkdown, r-rmdformats. The package is available in guix (at commit 09fab188f46e6e35b74209a5af6dfaeb76c5ccb9), but It is not used in r- rmarkdown. I guess we need to define a modified r-rmarkdown package to build with the new commits you used. Mattia
