I am absolutely convinced that there are cleaner ways to do these
things, but they seem to be stable, relatively secure and I have
bigger fish to fry for the moment.  If you (or I) improve on them,
please post.  AIR seems like a great technology for client-izing bits
of a Heroku app especially given that you can use Prototype and
Scriptaculous on the inside.
