I think using Basic HTTP Authentication with base64 encoding is
probably not as secure as this could be and given what I've seen from
Pownce and Twhirl and the like, there might be a way to authenticate a
session and just use the session rather than providing basic auth on
each call.  I'm in Marketing, so it's just an itch rather than an
intelligently proposed solution ;-)
