Wow, that's fantastic! The folding units, particularly - Thermax HD  
rather than plywood for those I'd *imagine* or maybe some other panel  
material - ought to be very easy for zoning folks to tolerate.

And, yes yes yes on all the off-the-grid stuff. There are deep  
reasons for doing it that way. I've got a bunch of theory on that -  
actually written more for survivalists than for communards - which  
addresses the benefits of those kinds of systems over more  
conventional resource sharing systems.

May or may not be remotely relevant to your situation over there, but  
it's a logical extension of how things work when you have solar etc.  
and with all this Hexayurt City talk, the social models are going to  
come into play eventually!
