So I just heard about building hexayurts (although I've seen several at Burning Man). I checked out the Web site and videos, and I think I'm going to build one for Burning Flipside, our regional burn that's happening to two weeks.
Has anyone tried to carry the panels on top of a small car? I brought the panels home from Home Depot using straps and a tarp, but I drove very slowly for a short distance. Flipside is 70 miles away and I'd be driving at highway speeds. Could it be done, or should I rent a truck? Also, has anyone tried to tape the edges of the panels with regular (clear) strapping tape? I wouldn't use it for the structural seams that need 6" filament, but just the edges to prevent moop. Thanks. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "hexayurt" group. To post to this group, send email to [email protected].
