Called yesterday, and he has 1.5 inch Thermax available for local
pickup, at $34 per sheet.  He welcomed business from other yurt
builders as well.  Looks like I won't be needing that group order.

Another place that turned up in my searches was Economy Lumber in
Oakland (510-261-6100), which had an unknown brand of 1.5" rigid foil
insulation board for 27 per sheet.
