Hey all Just a heads up that I found some 1.5" Rmax at Discount Builders in SF. They have 12 sheets there (when I was there on Thursday). Some of the ends looked a little beat up, but they definitely looked usable. And they were only $21 each.
I still wanted the 1" panels, so I got them to order them in. They were a little bit more expensive at $26 per sheet. I'm guessing to deal with shipping and whatnot. They get deliveries on Tuesday, and if you order by Friday they get them in on time. Boxes are 20 sheets, but they order a bunch of stuff, so rmax is happy to break boxes for them. No problem on me ordering 8 panels. My order went through on monday, so I missed delivery today, but hopefully will have them next week. Also, I got in touch with the Dow Chemical Company, makers of (super) tuff-r looking for distributors. Here's what they said: Since SUPER TUFF-R (TM) Insulation and TUFF-R (TM) Insulation are only manufactured on the east coast, they are not widely available for sale in California. Please contact the following distributors who can inform you of any local dealers who have purchased these products for resale: BlueLinx: 1-800-830-7370 Weyerhaeuser: 1-800-525-5440 Hope that helps someone!
