just to provide another perspective, this will be year 4 for our hexayurt and the only tape I don't have to replace every year is the gorilla duct tape. the bi-fi tape is amazing stuff but doesn't last in the sun and heat. in order to ensure a good tape job I remove any tape that is yellowed and only partially holding.
