I just did an inspection on my HY. It's ready for year two. I discovered a few things:
1. All of the exposed exterior bifi tape fried in the sun. 2. Almost all of the exterior bifi tape that was covered by foil tape was fine. 3. All interior bifi tape was fine. 4. All exposed Gorilla tape was fine (but I didn't have a lot, so I can't make any real conclusions here) The bifiliament tape was FindTape.com's standard 6" bifilimanet. The foil tape was 2.5" Shurtape AF 100 - specs at http://snipurl.com/foiltape . I think it was about $12/60yd roll at either Lowes or Home Depot. Just checked, it's not on either website, so YMMV. -Joshua TL;DR: cover all of your exterior bifilament tape with foil tape or it'll become fry in the sun.
