Hi Everyone, Long story short, the group buy is off. :-( My sincere apologies.
After searching high and low around the Bay Area and calling Dow multiple times, I cannot source Thermax HD even with our group order of 165-200 panels. The two quotes I received came in at $75 per 1.55" thick sheet not including freight! Minimum order is a full truckload which=350 panels coming from Indiana with a lead time of 4 weeks. Two other options are: 1) Rmax TSX8500 - Reinforced on one side with fiberglass layer and thicker foil facer, higher fire rating $40/ 1.5" sheet. No discount for bulk purchase. http://www.rmaxinc.com/downloads/DataSheets/TSX8500.pdf 2) Rmax Thermasheath-3 - Regular rigid polyiso board, no fire rating, thinner foil facer (more prone to punctures) $27/ 1.5" sheet. No discount for bulk purchase, but easy to find in the SF area. As much as I wanted to coordinate a group buy for our materials, it seems that we will not see any significant savings for the panels or the tape. I'm really sorry that this isn't going to work out but I'd love to make a group build day happen the weekend of August 20th. I'll send out more details next week on the build day.
