When I tried to use the bi-directional tape to secure my hexayurt I had to use a spray adhesive on the panel to provide a sticky surface for the bidirectional tape to stick to.
Now I use the bi-directional tape but secure it on both sides with flex-fix tape which has a good adhesive.
