I wanted to introduce to the group a new Theme Camp Project that we are
working on: Camp Shiny - A Burning Man Camp For Autism
<http://campshiny.org>

As part of this camp, we are planning on building (along with several
hexayurts for housing) a specially designed hexayurt to be used as a
sensory management pod.

Our Autistic Burners will need a place where they can really decompress
during the event, escaping the heat, wind, dust, noise, and lights of the
playa for portions of the day. A hexayurt is a great start for this, but
ours may be a little different.

For maximum noise and heat protection, we are looking at building a
yurt-within-a-yurt with a few inches of dead air insulation, and an off-set
entry so that people coming in and out won't disturb the peace of the
enclosed space.

We have some hexayurt experience in the group, but would welcome any design
and construction advice, and glad make us of any extra expertise, time, and
 materials that may be available.

If you might be interested in helping out, please let me know, or visit our
website at campshiny.org.

Thanks to All.
