Because of the delight of the hexayurt shape, it tiles, so setting up connecting rooms is not difficult at all.
I would recommend, from experience, that it is better to go with a thicker, single panel, than trying to double panels. The only way the doubling really works, is when you get the bevelled edge-cut just right. Even Danger Hinges caused ... unhappiness. Much less moop (and ability to use Danger Hinges) works much better with single, thicker walls. Also, if you are really looking for noise abatement, even from other people inside the same hexayurt, (we have people who snore ...) tapestries work really well, but they are somewhat heavy and bulky to transport, and somewhat tricky to hang, unless you put the hangers in-between the roof and the wall (we used n-shaped pieces of metal, with a top-open 3/4 circle cup welded to the inside of the n. The bar sat in the cups, and the tapestry hung from the bar) before you put the roof on. Learned lessons.
