The AER amps are designed for acoustic guitar, so very different from 
(electric) 'guitar amps'. A good value-for-money alternative is the 
Crafter acoustic guitar amp: I use one for my nylon-string guitar and am 
very happy with it. It has a closed ported cabinet and tweeter. Can't 
try it with gurdy as I don't have an electrified one yet.
