This is a very sad event, and our hearts go out to Leif. It is hard enough to do the work that he does, to care about it so passionately that one devotes one's life to it. It make it that much harder to lose everything in a moment - the instruments, the tools, the plans, the wood that you were saving for "something really special". Even if the insurance covers everything, there is still the deep sense of loss of the special instruments and pieces and jigs and tools.
I hope that as a community we can find some ways to help Leif. We cannot turn back time or repay him for his loss, but we can ease his transition to the next phase of his instrument-building career. > Think, how would you feel if this catastrophy would happen to you - > all your dear and valuable instruments or workshop destroyed just > like that! The thought terrifies me! Esa, if you are in touch with Leif, could you extend our thoughts to him? Thank you! Alden
