I had every intention of coming, with my Bassot functioning (maybe).
However, my daughter and son-in-law had other ideas. I'll be a
grandmother right about then, and my baby girl comes first.
Have a little extra fun for me and I'll give my grandbaby an extra
hug for you. :^)
Bassot update: removed a lot of solidified, black oil scum and dirt,
removed tangents and keys and the back (placed on paper and traced to
put them back in the right order), and decided the wheel may not need
to be removed, just scraped... maybe. With the crud gone, it turns
pretty smoothly. This instrument was played a lot, probably outdoors.
Craig is getting ready to fit and glue the big crack in the back,
yes, hide glue.

This is an update about the 2007 Over the Water Hurdy-Gurdy Festival
in Washington state.
