Hi Theo,
I have the same question. I've tried it with capturewiz from
http://www.pixelmetrics.com:80/ . It worked, but no sound, not even after
following their instructions of downloading the sound with the the clip. The
Javimoya downloader doesn't recognize the url.
So if anybody has an idea about this clip................, I think this is
the last day that it's to be seen !

Subject: RE: Saving YouTube videos (was Re: [HG] Gilles and Patrick on
YouTube)
One more question: Is it possible to save to hard drive the video of Giles
and Patrick on French TV?

Thanks, this worked.
Another option for downloading:
http://javimoya.com/blog/youtube_en.php
Same idea, enter the URL of the clip, and save as when prompted.
At this page you'll also find a Firefox extension that makes it even
easier.
There's also a link to a free download for an FLV player, the format
YouTube videos are in.
Or you can download VLC, a cross-platform multi format video player. It
has managed to play everything I've tried it on, and I know it works with
flv files. http://www.videolan.org

You can go to http://www.youtubex.com/ and enter the URL of the
video. It will then download it for you, but you will still need to
convert it to a more readily usable form. The Youtubex page gives
some suggestions of how to do it. I use isquint on the Macintosh to
handle conversions and it seems to do well. I don't know about Windows.
There are better ways to do this all automatically, but they cost
money, and if you only want a video here and there, using Youtubex is
a reasonable way to get the files.
