YES!!!
Pure intervals between melody and drone contribute much to the beauty of
hurdy gurdy music. However, there are practical problems and there are
decisions to be made, especially if you want to play not only to a C-drone,
but to other drones as well, with the same chanterelle. I have been
thinking, experimenting, listening and calculating a lot, looking for
acceptable compromisses and best solutions. That made things clear to me. In
order to make this available to other players, I have written an article on
this subject, containing all necessary theoretical information. This will be
accompanied by a spreadsheet that can be used easily for any tuning system
for the hurdy gurdy, but I had to delay finishing this because of lack of
time. I hope that it will be ready in a few weeks. You can find my article
already on

PS Sorry, I still have not introduced myself. I will do so soon, but I could
not wait to give a reaction to this subject that interests me so much.
