I bought these pegs for an instrument I am restoring for my wife, Barbara, but have not yet installed them so I can't really tell you anything about how they might apply to any of your situations. They are Flamenco guitar pegs designed to be supported at one point in a solid peghead, not at two points like a violin peg box.
