Have you tried playing a second time (just clicking the play button again)?
Sometimes the stream remains in the temporary internet folder so doesn't
need to stream.
Just a thought.

Certainly some sites are reluctant to allow samples to be downloaded.
I have yet to hear of anyone not being able to read mp3 files.
