In the last century , in the cassette period , I forgot a tape
of such archives in the player of a borrowed car . To make things worse
the car was used by a business partner of the owner on the same day .

Later comments mainly mentionned the danger of some illegal drugs .

Until late 1980 , recording techniques were not adapted to some
instruments like Hunting horns ( witness a vinyl of the St Hubert
mass in D ... isastre ) bagpipes and HG . Wich did not help a bit .

We've moved on from that sound. Listen to field recordings of French players
from the 30's - they're interesting, fascinating even, but not desirable
listening unless I want a lesson in a particular style and sound. >
