Dear sir,
I too noticed this phenomenon happening in Malaysia. I wonder what actually
cause it. Is it because they have to get themselves really ready in term of
material or monetary. Or is it really because they couldn't get suitable
partners or could it be that they dont want any attachement which will only
burden them. I think a survey should be conducted on this subject, and at the
same time creating a channel like what have been done through the web is also a
brilliant idea.I hope this groups are able to discuss this matter further and
look for ways to minimise the problem, if it is a problem. In the name of ALLAH
the merciful, I hope we'll be blessed for unveiling this phenomenon and guide
us to solve it.

We are really concern about social development in Malaysia where nowadays,
muslim brothers and sisters are getting marriage late in their life, and some
are having difficulties in finding the spouse.
The extent of the problem is far to gauge but potentially damaging.
I noticed that most islamic NGOs in Malaysia do have "Baitul Muslim" section,
at least to look after their members, and a couple also offering services to
the wide public. At the same time, perhaps, islamic NGOs must try even harder
and take a lead and proactive roles to address this issue. But of course,
family members, relatives and close friends must also play an active role in
helping those looking for marriage.
However, this is a global issue, where muslims in the west are facing with
similar issue. The different being, those organisations in the west, mostly
proactive in tackling this problem.
