I am sorry but this solution seems overly complex for the problem I
have.
The second solution Niels proposed works. The question remaining is
whether or not this will work in all situations ('cocoon:deploy' and
'cocoon:install', in Jetty, WebSphere and WebLogic, etc., etc.).
