I didn't say "ask Valve for the source code to Counter-Strike". I said "contact the person that wrote the source code". I've always found that I can send an e-mail to one of the Valve folks about SDK issues that no one on any coders list or forum would be able to answer and they will usually respond with a descriptive enough answer to handle my question. They won't give you the source to Counter-Strike or TFC, but they will tell you enough information to help you figure out how to do something on your own.
