Personally I tend to only play games for a couple of weeks before I get bored of them (there are a few notable exceptions, like aq2 and cstrike). I would like to subscribe for a month and try the game. I would then do an assement of how much I liked the game to decide whether I wanted to buy it outright or if I just wanted to keep subscribing. Right now I rarely by games because I end up paying $100 for a game I play for a week at most. If there was less risk to me (i.e to determine if I liked the game) then I would be more willing to fork over the bucks :)
