I've seen lots of e-mail on the linux and win32 dedicated server list about problems using Steam dedicated server with non-Valve MODs and plugins (like AMX, metamod, AdminMOD, bots, etc.). Valve hasn't really responded and none of the suggestions that I've seen so far handle problems with the latest Steam client (released yesterday).
When I know anything more about how to get the latest Steam server and client working properly with bots and other plugins, I'll post some news on the main page of my website to let everyone know.
