Hi, I recently returned to the HL scene and am porting my mod to work with steam. It's going fairly well, just a few minor problems. However when I try and debug in VC++6 SP5 I get "Couldn't find 'decals.wad' in "DEFAULTGAME" search path".
If I copy the wads from the SDK I get "Host_Init: Couldn't load gfx/palette.lmp" and this keeps on going on.
Seems that the resources are not being loaded from the pak file ... wherever that is kept now.
SteamApp.cfg contains:
SteamAppId=70 SteamAppVersionId=0 SteamInstallPath="C:\Program Files\Steam" SteamAppUser=[PROTECTED]
I'm debugging hl.exe and setting the working directory to the halflife directory.
I can play HL, CS and my mod through steam without any problems. I installed from steam not from the CD, so I don't have any of the old HL structure installed.
