I use fmod to play mp3s.. but i like .ogg better :)

Have to agree on that. Let's all hope for support for mp3 files with
EMIT_SOUND! :-)
It would revolutionise (hm) a lot of things, I'm sure :) I hate making
huge waves for all the stuff that uses sounds for mods of this engine.

now, it would be nice if they enabled the sound playing calls to
automatically recognize mp3 instead of just wav, so you could specify a
mono mp3 and play it with the standard EMIT_SOUND  / PlaySound calls on
the client.
