Hey, I can't read! I see you've already tried running from STEAM. Original message: I know with our mod in the past we've had to run it once from the STEAM games menu before it would work from a shortcut. And every so often (maybe with engine updates?) we'd have to run it again from the STEAM games menu instead of from a shortcut. It would do what you describe though (with the window opening and then promptly closing).
