I'm not denouncing anyone, just stating a fact ...
My 1107 server was stable ... I was praised for it ... It would stay up for
weeks at a time ...
1108 disappears from my screen a lot ... in layman terms, it crashes a lot
... Every time I come back to my servers, I most certainly have to start

was updated with this new patch, so I assume just the DLLs changed ... I
run the HLDS that comes with the client so I don't have to get all
different patches, just one for my client and use the same on the server
..... I asked what the difference was between the HLDS that comes with the
client and the HLDS that comes standalone and received this:

So for this reason, I don't feel there is a need to run the distributed
server files and keep another set of file that I need to get updates for ...
I just wish that the server would run as it did before and I wish I could
know why it crashes ... As I said, the logs show nothing ... it just stops
and the HLDS DOS window goes away ... No messages on the screen, no clues
in the log ... just disappears ...
It's running on W2K server ...
