Either way, Valve has been accused of wrong doing. In the best interest of
keeping many admins and players (or even MOD developers for that matter),
just like many other companies in business, Valve should issue some sort of
statement.

If Valve remains silent on this issue, it'll only give weight to PB's
comments which would then label Valve as a development company not willing
to work directly with developers and only moving forward with their own
agenda. Of course, Valve has that right. But, players, developers, and
admins have devoted a lot of time for free to extending and improving the
game that Valve has created.

Like many have already mentioned, Valve focused a lot into adding in-game
voice capability. Although, this is a cool feature. I think working with
the developers, utility and MOD alike, would have benefited the HL community
ten fold over the features provided in this last patch. And like all other
patches with new features, a new set of bugs have emerged.

For example, in our TFC server, we've noticed player ghosting and even at
times, players can walk through other players in the middle of a battle. I
have no idea if this is the result of a lagged netcode. Also, the spy's
knife is way to powerful now. Not only is it easier to get single stab
kills, you can kill many classes with a frontal knife assault with only 2-3
knife swings. This will probably force me to limit spies in my servers now.
I have no idea what to do with the ghosting though, I guess just live with
it for now.

Anyway, HL Server, Yes, I would have to say that Valve, out of respect for
us, issue some sort of response. If it was like you suggested, then say
that. I for one, will lose a lot of respect if Valve clams on this issue.
I for one don't like to work with companies with poor or a lack of good
business ethics. Especially for free. =|
