Actually Leon, on my TFC servers, I've discovered that (if spectators are
enabled) you can't join spectators until after you join the game first.
This for sure is the case with an empty server, and I believe it happened to
me last night on a half filled server.

It's a little irritating if you just want to join and spectate.  I don't
know if this is a bug related to the dropping of players (which I don't
think I have) or by design to battle the spectate exploits.

Anyway, just a heads up.
