Regedit,
HKEYLOCALMACHINE>SYSTEM>CURRENTCONTROLSET>CONTROL>SessionManager>MemoryM
anagement

LargeSystemCache Key, this will load your windows kernel into ram
increasing overall performance and stability 1=enabled 0=disabled

DisablePagingExecutive Key, this will enforce windows to use memory
instead of pagefile when memory is available, I find that this causes
lag spikes on my Half-Life servers and so I turned it off. Mayb be
different on your machines tho.

I would advice checking if the first Key I mentioned is set to 1 which
it probably is, if the second key is set to 1 also try setting it to 0
and look if that helps your lag issue.

There is also a Key u could add to the Priority Control the full regedit
path is in my last email. Add a new Dword value to it, and name it
IRQ8Priority and set it to 1. This is a much debated tweak tho, not
everybody concurs that it actually improves something, but it is
believed to boost the windows realtimeclock that takes care of all
timings that applications use. So it may benefit gameservers.

Thanks for the input. I'm sure I'm on 100mbit, I've taken some
speedtests
between 2 machines I have at different locations and I've transmitted at
~60mbps. I'm not running fast http download on this machine either. I
don't
have IIS installed, however I will look at the speedguide.net tweaks to
see
if I can find any that will help.
I don't know if this is significant, but I checked out to see how large
the
page file was, and I saw it was set at 2x the amount of RAM I have (4
gig
page file). Maybe windows is using my Page File when it should be using
RAM,
thus causing a slowdown?
