That happened to me at my office before...got some random port. Very very busy server as well even though it was laggy. Connected through SDSL at my office.

The problem is that the ip that says on the hlds is not the actual one. The IP in the hlds is : 169.254.47.249:27015. when you try to connect to that ip it doesnt work. then i go onto gametiger.com, and i type in the name of the server (TeamKD Clan Server) and the ip that shows up is this one: 65.6.168.6:50286. I never knew that kind of port existed. i dont have any firewalls, and im running it through a dsl connected to a router connected to my computer directly, no wireless. People do connect to the server, in ffact, its a pretty active server, except that for my crappy box many people leave because of the lag, i use the computer too so that just makes more lag and spikes.
