There is in fact no difference between their XEON and XEON MP line other
then marketing. XEON processors are artificially low so that they prevent
the AMD Opteron from capturing market share. 5 years ago, if you were
buying servers back then, a dual processor "server" was MUCH higher then
anything in comparison to today. Of course, they had only the Alpha to
worry about ... and the Alpha was shipping at a much higher price margin as
well.
So.. lucky us. We are all in the "crappy low end server" market.. but we get
cheap prices!

I stand corrected. Nice to see intels site giving accurate information
once again :P There is zero mention of any processor no. limitation
on the public facing Xeon web pages only when you navigate
backwards from the main Xeon product link do you find any
mention of a Xeon MP, ho hum :D
