If you have been working as a computer technician for 5 years you should know how to work when trying to resolve problems.
-You set banned.cfg to read only and the CS server gave you an error. (Now you found out that the CS server is indeed talking about the right file) -Next step (Before going to the HLDS mailinglist) is to see if any third party software/addons is creating this problem. -Disable the addons and run the HLDServer CLEAN and ALONE (don't start it with any third party software) -If the banns don't return, you found that the problem is not directly HLDS related. I'm not a 14 years newby and I've my own Community with forum, latest Psychostats and so on. And I do listen to people, but sometimes I've already done what is suggested. I do appreciate that you want to help, but everything that has been mentioned I have already tried more than once but nothing helped. I still have left to try out to start the server without any mods, but I'll wait untill tomorrow morning before the server starts up so I don't have to kick all the players.
