If you don't like the food or service, why stay at the restaurant? 50% of your friends have left for other games, why haven't you? Valve is a company and has rules to govern its software development. I'm sure the Valve developers didn't recently come back from a several month vacation and copy the old VAC and change a few things to make it compatible with the Source engine.
