If you check the following links there are specs which surpass many areas of the amd 64 bit cpu. Perhaps you should check out intels latest line of cpus. http://www.intel.com/design/Pentium4/prodbref/index.htm http://www.intel.com/products/processor/pentium4HTXE/index.htm That cache is huge compared to an fx55 or newer.And the first link shows the top end intel is 64 bit. I think I'll stick with intel. Easier to smp with (dual 3.73 is sweet). So I don't think I'd jump ship just yet. And lets set the record straight, amd would be better for gaming/gfx. But for all around general use and multitasking through multiple applications, intel is the clear winner in my book. Enough of the amd vs. intel though. Its starting to look like a rehash of the same old topic.
