You can't Blame steambans for non-steam. You can only Blame Valve for
allowing this to happen.
non-steam should of been Fixed the moment it came out not a year later.

I thought I kicked this horse enough last august. Guess I didn't.

Ok, steambans.con (Notice the con) is not legitimate. People are falsely
banned through it all the time.

Example:

Hacker a goes on a server with "nosteam" hacks. He gets legitimate player
A's steamed in his generator. Legitimate player A happens to play on
steambans.con servers. Well the hacker is in pub A (steambans monitored).
He
is walling, speeding, aiming, no recoil, whatever..a demo is made, a
screenshot is captured, a condump is done. All with the legitimate persons
id being used. Admin A submits this "evidence" to steambans (condump, ss,
and demo). It is reviewed, and hackers id is banned on all steambans.con
servers. Well, legitimate person A can no longer play on these servers.

This is a true story and it happens all the time. I brought this to the
attention of steambans staff last year when the nosteam hack had first
risen
its ugly head. They chose to plead not guilty and deny all charges. And
continue to do so till this day.

I would say to test this yourself, however I would not want to see you get
banned by vac2 for having nosteam. So please do not attempt to replicate
this. It was replicated last year by a clever group of testers. And some
15
steamids that are not in use were banned by steambans.

For this reason alone, I would never trust a steambans.con ban. And for
this
reason I would never trust there staff.
