I'm not sure if would make a difference, but it just might. I hear a lot of
complaints about the linux binaries, IE they generally blow chunks. What I
think I'll do is try the win32 version and see if it is as unstable. The
only think I don't like about running the windows version is that I'm
running on a linux box, and I have not figured out how to get hlds to
restart when it crashes. You can't run serverdoc on the linux box, and I'm
not sure if other restart programs would work.

I'm running the linux version of OZ, 3.02, with 2 or 3 bots. The one map
that it consistently crashes on is mario_kart. I can send you my configs
if
you want, as previous versions of OZ were sensitive to certain settings
in
the cfg files. Box is a PIII/800, and it runs at about 20% cpu.

I'll start up an oz deathmatch server this weekend and see if I get this
error.

I'm seeing it fairly consistently. I'm also watching a flood of :

SZ_GetSpace: overflow on Client Datagram messages coming from clients
that
are not doing anything but playing. I know others are running OZ, but
it's
not doing very well on my box, and I'm not sure why. I'd be interested
in
hearing from others that are running OZ, and what their experiences are
with
the current version. I've switched back to valve to see if the
stability
issues go away or not.

hlds 47/1.1.2.0, OZ

L 04/24/2005 - 00:05:33: FATAL ERROR (shutting down): ED_Alloc: no
free
edicts
FATAL ERROR (shutting down): ED_Alloc: no free edicts

We've talked about this off and on in the past, but did we ever
decide
anything definitive? Is there a fix for this, or is this a bug in the
mod?
This occurs on mario_kart. I've been running mario_kart for a long
long
time, and in OP4 and hlds it seems to be rock solid. With OZ it won't
run
5
minutes, making me think this is an OZ issue. Is there any settings
that
can
help to prevent this?
