-- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] You could always try www.speedguide.net 's tcp optimizer to change the max number of connections per server.... I am not sure if it will help your concern tho, as it sounds like a 'bursting' problem caused by something like antivirus/antispyware and/or a firewall or router. Maybe it's just because all 3 are contributing as well.
But try the optimizer anyway. You may enjoy some other effects from it on your connection. --Ozz -------------- Original message -------------- > i don't think that would be the case.. because it seems to me that steam > itself would probly just run on one connection. and i have xp pro and have > never had this happen, and i have also used it on home as well.. and i don't > see this problem flooding everywhere.. so i would assume its not the os. and > i know that at times when im working my connection to its max for a period > of time my connection will go out.. so i would most definatly look into it > being either your internet.. or router..
