Re-read....it works normally AFTER firing the GUI version of it but won't
fire if I DL the files and then immediately fire it up with a console.
Weird. We tried the suggested /3GB switch in boot.ini when it was suggested
but to no avail. I know a couple of guys tried to help but everything we
tried forced us to offload our 1.6 clients to smaller dual xeons servers
that are all too common in this list. End result, we found a way to run 1.6
on our work-horse hardware and thought others might be interested in this
tidbit of oddity. So the question becomes, not that we'll every try it,
wonder how may active player slots we could run on 8.0GHz of 4 CPU cores.
