Checking my web server, I'm not showing anyone recently downloading the
banner.gif from my fast http website.
Unfortunately, my webserver logs were only being kept for one day (fixed
now) so I can't look back for when the last file was fetched, but if someone
else happens to have web access logs that they can check then the info we
need will be there.

I've been mailed off list there by valve, suggesting that it wasn't
planned,
perhaps an approximate date might help Valve figure out where it went
wrong.
I have a machine with mails going back to 2004 on this list still I think,
I'll check that tomorrow.

HL1 has an in game banner ad (as always), the Source engine has never
