Any one ever heard of a leased car? yep happens all the time in the real
world, which I don't think our disabled acount friend was willing to think
about living in. And you better belive it a car dealer can terminat the
lease agreement at any time they chose, they can even deny you buying the
car at the end of the lease. We live in a world of contacts and very few
poeple ever read or better yet fully understand what they agree to just by
clicking next......
but why this thread keeps poping back up, can't this just die?

You can also sell that car when you're done with it. Bad analogy.
A car salesmen also doesn't have a EULA that states they can terminate
you're use of the car without warning either.
If you want a real analogy, try this one:
You purchasing the ability to use the car but I (the salesman) reserve
the right to make it stop working at anytime after you've bought it
without warning. I will give you no guarantee that it will always
work right or even 99% uptime. Do not even think about selling the
car because it'll be deactivated immediately.
Anyway, I digress. Lets say they did disable it for an opinion.
What's to keep them from "showing" the account was caught cheating
when in fact it really wasn't. I'm not saying Rayn is worth that much
effort and its one huge conspiracy.
I'm just reaffirming the fact that if they wanted to, they could
without any problems. Let's say Rayn did take them to court under the
alleged circumstances. They have basically the 1 umbrella policy: the
account can be suspended without notice or reason (not quoted
obviously but thats the way its interpreted). Or lets say that is
misinterpeted, lets just make a quick entry into the VAC servers,
modify the date, voila. Opinions now converted to "verified" cheating.
I'm not saying you're wrong and I'm not saying I'm right, I just don't
understand why you're being so close-minded on the subject like you
know what's going on or something.

I can almost guarantee you that Valve won't disable an account for an
opinion. They legally cannot do so. They would be taken to court & lose.
They can only control freedom of speech on their forums. They can't take
away someone's paid for account because they don't like their opinion.
Fact is that won't happen.
If he really wants to find out the reason, he has to contact support &
they
will tell him why.
Look at it this way. You buy a new car off a lot & just before you leave,
you tell the owner your bad opinion of him. Think he'll take the car back?
No, he can't.

You're right. No funny business ever happens in this world.
Everything is done by upstanding individuals who always accept
opinions without consequences. Glad we cleared that up.
I think you need to get real and stop being so naive that its not
without possibility. I'm not saying that it is -what did happen- but
I wouldn't put it past them as possible.

So what you're saying is that Valve WOULD disable an account because of
the
users opinions?
Do not think so.
Name one company that disables anything because of someone's opinion. Get
real. Not happening.
Valve wouldn't disable his account for it being logged into from another
location when that's one o0f the main points of steam in the first place.
To
be used anywhere on any PC across the globe.
