Sorry if this was discussed before but I wonder what is official (i.e. expressed by Valve) or at least common (i.e. expressed by community) opinion about bunny hop and silent run widely used by many professional players let alone lots of regular players? On our recent event I saw both in action and both look like bug exploit to me. So if it is an exploit it would be nice to get this bug fixed... Regards, Roman
Personally anything other than default that gives a player an advantage over others besides their own player skill negates that,those options should not be used.IE Bunny Hop gives them a speed advantage and no foot steps while running gives them a stealth advantage and could be a speed advantage since the other players could be walking to "hear" them running. I do not allow either on my servers.On first offence I hand out a 30 minute ban on the second I give out a perm.But like said in another posting it varies from server to server.Some people say anything you can do in the game except cheats are allowable.But I do know alot of hacks that have a bunny jump bind?So what about those?But its upto your own decisions,hence the reason you run your own server...
