not much. you'll need to get a router in, between you and the modem, so
it can mange the ip's. if your doing this so you have somewhere private
to play with your mates and don't wanna do out and buy a router, i' give
up right now because it's too much of a pain in the ass.

although (i almost hit the send button, lol) if you modem has dhcp (i
know mine does) it might just be possible to get it to assign you a
static ip for your pc. you'll need to look into that yourself as i have
only have experience with my modified WRT54G.
