-- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] My real question is, why does an ACPI HAL force a 1.95ms Kernel Timer Resolution? What is the reason behind it? Is there any possible way around it other than your other suggestions?
I assume your other suggestions mean WindowsXP or Windows2000 Server with the NO ACPI install option?
